Eternal Fitness founder Kyle Valery is a nutritionist and private personal trainer in San Diego who understands that everyone is different, with different needs and goals. It is Kyle’s mission as a personal trainer to create training programs that are challenging, rewarding and yield the best results possible.

For the past 12 years, Kyle has been a certified personal trainer helping people achieve weight loss in San Diego. During that time, he has earned certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, National Council on Strength and Fitness and National Academy of Sports Medicine. In Addition, Kyle has a performance enhancement specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds current CPR and AED certifications. He also has completed a Golf Biomechanics Specialist certification from the C.H.E.K institute along with most recently completing all three of the Neurokinetic Therapy certifications.

To further enhance his ability to help clients achieve their goals, Kyle is a member of the Berkley Newsletter, National Counsel of Strength and Fitness, PTontheNet.com, Precision Nutrition, ACSM, Nutrition Action, Apex Bodybugg, and the American Dietetic Association.

Through his personal training programs, Kyle is able to demonstrate his keen focus on client progress. His goal is to facilitate results through challenging the body, all while maintaining a safe environment. Kyle has a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in Nutritional Science and has recently completed his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from CALU and is a Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR). Currently Kyle is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and is full body ART certified to be able to utilize manual therapy and sports massage with his clients.

Kyle is no stranger to clients with injuries and limitations, and he enjoys the challenge of working to achieve the best results for them. On a personal level, Kyle has been working out for 15 years, and he finds nothing more rewarding than helping others realize their physical wellness goals.

Education

Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion (MS)

The program is designed to prepare students for continued research and doctoral studies or advanced careers in corporate, commercial, clinical and/or community physical fitness and health promotion.

The sport psychology track is designed for the health/fitness professional to gain knowledge from the psychological perspective to enhance their current practice behavior and use an all-inclusive approach to recovery. Courses will provide information to assist health care professionals and others in identifying precursors to injury, effects of injury and rehabilitation and recovery, performance enhancement and intervention methods, and incorporate referrals.

Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition (BS)

The major in foods and nutrition offers a comprehensive multidisciplinary study of the nature and quality of the food supply and the nutritional requirements for health in people. Students take core sequences of coursework in the areas of nutrition, food science, and food management founded on prerequisite courses in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physiology, management, and the behavioral and social sciences. Course emphasis in the major is placed upon the composition, properties, quality, and safety of foods and food ingredients; the relationships of metabolism and utilization of nutrients in food by the human body to health and disease states; influences of exercise and fitness; the physiological basis for diet therapy; nutrition problems in the community; and organization, management and operation of food service facilities.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists(CSCS)Are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance.They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.

Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR)

Are individuals who have:

    • completed the minimum of a baccalaureate degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent;
    • met current academic requirements (Didactic Program in Dietetics) as accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics;
    • successfully completed the Registration Examination for Dietetic Technicians;
    • remitted the annual registration maintenance fee; and
    • complied with the Professional Development Portfolio (PDP) re-certification requirements.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

Are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance.

They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.
